I really enjoyed the malatang here. It was perfectly spiced and so so delicious. I also ordered some fried chicken which was moist on the inside and crispy on the outside. What more can you ask for? Staff was super friendly. Will be back

This is the best malatang I've had in the area! I love the ingredient options and the broth is perfect. I also love how the meat is just charged to the total weight and not charged separately. I much prefer the taste and price over any other malatang places nearby. The quoporou is also better here than anywhere else. The free goguma twigim (fried sweet potato slices) is always freshly fried as well. The woman (who I presume to be the owner) is always kind and welcoming. I've eaten here many times and each time has been pleasant.

Two dined in on monday for lunch We were actually restaurant hopping so we ordered one malatang and shared It was our first time and ive been always wanting to try this. The hostess/owner escorted us to the table (in fact, she just pointed out table from distance) And i told her it was our first time then she explained how things work. Handed me a big plastic bowl and we self put in ingredients and they weigh the ingredients and priced them So $14.85? Per lb Ours came out 1.35lb and price was $20.81?! Of course they did not subtract the weight of the bowl which seems heavy And seems like people pay upfront but she didnt ask us to pay in advance We paid at the end Shortly after, food was cooked and served We both love spicy so we picked level 4 very spicy one Other dishes were at least minimum 2 order so we couldnt try other one and Also skewers were minimum 5 order ($2 per one) Next time we will try skewer for sure (choice of lamb & beef ) Inside was pretty spacious and clean We will return

Note! The restaurant is on the 2nd floor right up the stairs as you walk in. Head straight into Hong Chun Cheon. Went for their malatang. I'd say their selection isn't as wide as others. There's no raw fish to add as a protein source. So if you want that go elsewhere. You must fill up your bowl to a 1 pound minimum. Other than that I think the flavor is great. Medium spicy is perfect for me but for some that might be too much. And you get a bowl of rice if you order it dry. We also were given complimentary fried potato slices so that was nice!

I was craving for some hot and spicy malatang this past weekend and I stumbled upon this new restaurant. There aren't many places that serve authentic malatang-how they make it in Korea nowadays. You get to choose all the toppings you want in your tang including veggies, meats, fish cake, noodles, and seafood. They weigh the amount and price it by pound. They then cook it in the mala stew back in the kitchen. We got the medium spicy level and it was just right We also got an order of lamb skewers. I've had better quality so I don't recommend getting it here. The malatang however was delicious and it hit the spot on a chilly night. Service was great considering how busy they were. It's a casual environment and also byob! Parking lot is behind the building. Restaurant is on the 2nd floor.

A new restaurant that opened in Palisades Park! When I first entered, I found out it was within the same restaurant as hong chun cheon. When we came on a Saturday night, it was packed but we didn't mind waiting a bit with the fun k-pop music playing. Once we entered, we quickly just grabbed a bowl and created our own malaxiangguo at the food station. They have a good variety of vegetables and other additions. They weighed it by the pound and we were able to share the perfect amount for three people. My favorite dish was the beef skewers. It reminded me of the exact tastes of the cart skewers and they were $2 each. Definitely would come back again when I'm craving some skewers and spicy food!
